Sorry I missed you all on Christmas.
I hope you all found JOY in the day.
We have been busy, but I cannot resist sharing a couple of photos:
The boys tried, but just could not stay awake for the visit from good ol' Saint Nick. hehehe Gosh, I guess this never gets old. They are both plenty old enough to get into their beds on Christmas Eve. :)
This is the first Christmas in Ruth's life where Darrell didn't have to work one of the two days that encompass our celebrations.
And maybe one of the last when DJ will be still living at home. I will miss him when that happens. But for now, I will just be thankful he is here!
Brian got a keyboard and is using the lessons it provided to learn how to play. Here he is playing hymns for Nana. Yes, this is my boy with the different religious views than the rest of us. And he chose, CHOSE, to play Amazing Grace, Silent Night, and several other hymns for my 87 year old grandmother. He knew they were songs she might enjoy.
I will be starting back to school in about a week. So, if I become a bit unreliable, just know, I will be busy. Although, I did blog as a way to get out of school work, so who knows, you might see more often, not less. :)
PS:
Brian is feeling less heartbroken. Of course you would like to know the reason: the engagement was called off when the boyfriend moved to VT.
We still need prayer though. I just do not think she will turn to Brian in sudden reflection of his love for her. If that makes sense. He still needs love and guidance. We are trying to get him what he needs. Just please keeping praying for the light on his path to keep glowing.
Thanks...

I LOVE the picture of the big boys asleep on the couch. That's great! I suppose some things never change :) It looks like you had a wonderful Christmas. I'll let you out of regular posting if you promise to still drop by and say HI! Love the new header. Is this a window in your home? It's beautiful.
