Proud Momma Moment

The other day, DJ came home and told me that he had asked his boss if he could volunteer on Sunday. I am always for volunteering, so that by itself would make me proud. But, it got even bigger right quick.

Yes, folks. My boy will be helping his company to pipe and heat the home of one special family on this show. I am sorry to say I will not post on here which house, as I am still leery of stating my exact whereabouts. But, I am so proud that he took initiative to help with such a project. This family is deserving, believe me! (For those that feel that they really want to know, you can email me, and I will let you in on it.) What an absolutely fantastic thing the ABC folks do, and though I have often wished they could come to my house, I am thankful that they are reaching out to a family so close to it. Really with in 3 miles, a home I often drive by, I kid you not.

So many blessings and prayers for this family, as a Christmas that was sure to be awful may have a bit of renewal for them. And blessings on my boy for recognizing such a great opportunity to use his skill to help others in need. :)
