So, I spent the day out. I went to work to pick up my pay check. I was pleasantly surprised to find an almost full paycheck. :) That was a relief, to say the least! And there was a chocolate bar with it. Yum!
Then, I went to the fabric store, and saved more than I spent. I bought stuff to increase my creative side. And some to keep Ruth occupied. Fun, and cheap! YAH!
While I was there, Darrell called. He had jury duty, and at 1PM, he was dismissed. They filled the box, and he was not needed. this meant we could go to lunch. We haven't had a date in so long, that this was just nice to do.
Add to that when I got home there was a gift for me in the mail. It said on the box to put the tea kettle on. I was intrigued at what my sister would send...
Do you remember my sad longing for my mother's fruitcake? Well, Kathy had some left at her house. And she sent it to me! YAH! Tomorrow moring, I will get up and make a pot of tea. I will pull out the butter, and pour a cup of hot stuff. I will likely call my mother. This is the tradition, to sit and eat fruit cake and chat about life. Thank you, Kats. It was good you added the note. Ruth tried to tell me I had to share. :)
Can you believe there is more? Well, remember my pity party? And how the cat peed in my slippers? Maybe you will recall my sister wished she could be here to buy me new ones. She didn't have to travel 200 miles. She had them sent in the mail. I cannot thank her enough. My tootsies are toastie now!
So, guess what... I now have a box to send out a gift. To one of you. I understand there is a custom of bloggy give aways in honor of your 100th post. This post is number 97. So, get ready ladies, or gents. I am preparing a small give away. I will share it soon. Next post is a book tag, and then I will post about the prize, and how to win. I hope you will join in, and tell your friends. :)
