Oh, and Ruth's dress. I just have to tell. I didn't have money to buy a new one. So, I used the one from my niece's wedding. It was all ivory, with a sash. I was able to change its look the old fashioned way. I opened the seams and took out the sash. Then, I added a wide red ribbon that cost me, I don't know, $2. Up close, you can see the marks from other days when the dress was worn. (Yes, Christie, there are still blood stains on the inside of the dress.) But, at the concert, it didn't show up. Her hair was curled and cute, her dress long and she felt like she was, and I quote, "beautiful". You all decide, because I am a bit prejudice:
Oh and the highlight of each concert is the Santa stuffed with a pillow and the dancing reindeer. The reason it is a highlight? Well, what is cuter than an 8 year old skinny little boy dressed in a Santa suit dancing across the stage? Especially since, year after year, his belt comes undone in the enthusiasm of the moment and the stuffing falls out. I don't think it is intentional, but it does seem to happen as it did last night.
PS: I had my stitches out and according to the surgeon, I am "bionic" in my abdomen.

Ruth does look beautiful! I'm so glad she could use the dress again, just like any bride would be when the girls "can wear it again." Haha! :)
She looks so sweet- love the red sash. Way to go Mom!
Ruth is so cute and her dress is nice...
I'm so appreciative of great teachers! Ruth looks beautiful!
Ruth looks just adorable! I have some old photos of another little girl wearing a flower girl dress. Christie (aka Mrs CJK) loved hers too and wore it again and again following your big day! ~Kathy
