A Christmas Wish

Now, you know you are on the right path when the following happens.

Last night, Ruth was having dinner at a friend's house. The topic was Christmas, and they were going around the table saying what they would like for Christmas. Her friend is the youngest of 5 sisters, and I do not know where in the mix Ruth was for her turn. But, L's mom was so touched by what Ruth hopes for that she stated she will remember this wish for a long time coming. At her chance to share, Ruth told the table "What I want for Christmas is the gift of giving." Yes, folks, I think she sees the light, not the one at the end of the tunnel. The light of Christ shines in this little girls heart. YES! We are on the right path.

Oh, and no I did not forget my wish to gift. I love to give to others. It brings me great joy. It always has. If I can make something special, that is even better. My sister has (in her gorgeous walk in closet) a piece of board that I decorated with cut up cards and then painted a wedding wish on. Not what I would consider the most beautiful thing in the world, but it was a gift in love, and Kathy understood that 26 years ago, and still does now. My gifts might be professional, but they are meaningful. So, with out further ado, the winner of my 100th post give away:

I apologize to those who have waited and waited. I was out until 11PM shopping Friday. I had the grand girls and their parents over to put up the tree on Saturday, and a really long church day yesterday. No excuses here, just the hope that you will understand. :)

Oh, come back tomorrow. I will have pictures of my tree from this year.
You know you want to see if Santa is looking or not...

I think that sweet "mixed media" piece of art in my closet says "may your lives be filled with love". It is one of my most cherished possessions. Let's just say the apple doesn't fall very far from the tree when it comes to Ruth E. She's learned from the master. Lots of Love, Kathy
