Here is my journey to find out what makes me unmistakable, what brings me joy... and to release the thoughts in my head.

Paradise

When I got Ruth off the bus today, it was sunny. Cool, but clear. I had walked with Sam, our Golden Retriever, to the end of the driveway. On either side of the driveway, we have swamp. Sam loves the water, and jumping through it makes him smile. On the way home, Ruth asked if she could explore one side of the "road". She wandered in over a huge mound of loom and shrubs. Down the backside, she and Sam disappeared. I had to call to them, and reluctantly they returned to my side. Ruth was breathless. "Mom, you have to see back there. It is so clear. There is tall green grasses growing. It is like PARADISE!" She went on to talk about how she would love to live in that spot. I promised her a return visit, after homework. We could take her bike, and ride down. She didn't cry for journal time. Wonderful way to start our evening. I was glad we went back. Sam laughed, I swear. He romped and romped through the water and grass. Ruth gathered mud in a net as she hunted for frog eggs. An hour went by as I watched my "babies" loving life.
It was great!
