Here is my journey to find out what makes me unmistakable, what brings me joy... and to release the thoughts in my head.

Preparing

Well, as everyone prepares for the big Turkey day,
my family is doing a different type of preparation.
Pre-Op.
Tomorrow I am having "semi-urgent" surgery on my abdominal wall. I have two different spots, about 6 inches from one another that are "volcanoing". Depending how the first spot leads to the second I could be looking at a 6" vertical incision. YIKES! I guess there will be no more bikinis for me! :)

That all said, I am thankful for the fact that Darrell is home. He is supportive and comforting. He asks good questions, and makes me feel safe. Hmm, now I know why I was supposed to feel at peace last month when he was laid off from work. He is around to take care of little ol' me. :)

So, I am may be around a bit, or I may not be around at all. In either case, know I am in good hands. :)

It's a bummer you have to give up that bikini--it always looked so good on you too......LOL!!

I hope the men in your family continue to take good care of you. The women (us) wish we could be there to make you tea and cluck a little. We'll be praying for you though--and anxiously waiting to hear all is well post-op.

wow -- volcano and abdominal wall together sounds really quite gruesome.

Update us when you can. :-)
