Here is my journey to find out what makes me unmistakable, what brings me joy... and to release the thoughts in my head.

Feeling better

After my pity party, Darrell invited me to go for a ride to buy gas. May not sound like much, but I have been cooped up for a week, almost two. So, we went to buy gas, and then we took the long way home. Darrell likes to ride through the state forest, and thought I would enjoy a journey. He was right! I felt so much better having a different view of the world. There were some beautiful water ways, and areas of trees. The only wild life we saw was a red squirrel, but that is okay. I did come up with a solution to my need for a comfy nightie, I can use an extra one of Darrell's hankies. They are white, and get bleached, so I think this is a good thing. :) Getting out helped me to reconnect with him, and that was great! We used to go for rides when we were dating, and I forgot how much I enjoy them.

Then, when we got home this package was on our steps. This is one of the things I purchase for myself. I cannot tell you how much I love these. They are fresh picked and arrived straight from the orchard:

A whole box of oranges. I share them, as who can resist the sweet goodness? I will gladly give up Rolos for these. :) YUMMY!

When I got inside, there were two messages. One from my supervisor, and one from my mother. I called mom first. :) She offered me some suggestions for my tummy itches, and I am patiently waiting to apply them. Darrell will be going out later to bring Ruth to an appointment, and will buy my remedy. I will let you know how it turned out. :) Then, I called my supervisor. She was checking on me, which I appreciate. Not only that, she was doing my first file review. I was dreading that, especially since I planned to get them updated last week. Oh, well. There were good points that I wrote down, and other things I will learn from. Over all, what she said was not a surprise, and we will cover it all when I return. On that subject, A. knows how our finances are, and offered some ideas for my return so that I might not be out so long. This I thought was great, because I love my job. Helping others makes me happy, and that is what I do there. So, we will see what the doctor says on Thursday, and will go from there. :)

I'll be off now. I plan to nap the afternoon away. :)
