Pumpkin Party

Thank you to Kristen at We are THAT Family for inviting us to the {BYOP} Pumpkin Party.

Ruth and I wanted to join in the fun, and we thought we were not going to be able to when we discovered our pumpkin had a rotten spot on the bottom.

Then, the stem fell off... :(

But, we are the type not to give up, so... Here we are. :)

We cut the bottom off the pumpkin (where the rotten spot was), instead of cutting through the top. After we cleaned it out, Ruth drew a face.

This is the first time Ruth is allowed to cut the pumpkn herself.

(I scaped the inside to make it a bit safer.)

The cutting did not go exactly as planned, but hey, we can always improvise!

We used sunscreen to remove the extra marker. Then, Ruth decided the pumpkin needed a hat. Hey, I said the stem fell off and we were going to improvise. :)
