Here is my journey to find out what makes me unmistakable, what brings me joy... and to release the thoughts in my head.

Inspiration from a 7 year old

When D. and C. were here for supper, Ruth led them in grace. I don't remember the whole prayer, but the parts that I do I want to remember:
"Dear God, thank you for this good food. It's my favorite. Thank you for D. and C. and that they could come and play. I love them so. I would not want to give them to anyone, but keep them for just me. Thank you for being able to play outside today. And for my nieces, I love them so."

It touched my soul to know that my little girl knows how much her family means to her, and that she is so thankful to the Lord for the gift she was given.

Today, at Sunday school, Ruth had a prompt to write a poem using the "Diamante" format:

God
Yellow dead
Singing talking rising
tomb rock Jesus cross
walking praying praising
loving worshipful
Thankful

What does that say to me? Somewhere along the line, Ruth has learned that there is love in the life we have been given. We can raise our voice in song and praise for the gift of Christ's resurrection. It may be in simple terms, but that is what I see.
